Tonya Terwilliger - PA-C
Tonya is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She joined MacInnis Dermatology in the summer of 2018. Tonya was born and raised in Ohio. She attended Ohio University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences/Pre-Medicine in 1998. In 2003, she graduated from Kettering College of Medical Arts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Cum Laude. Tonya has been practicing as a Dermatology PA for 15 years.
Tonya specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nail disorders. Working closely with Dr. MacInnis she provides the highest quality dermatology care. With her wonderful bedside manner, she prides herself on providing patient centered care and building strong relationships with her patients. Her goal is to provide excellent dermatology care to our local patient population.
Prior to moving to Florida, she resided in Arizona. Tonya and her husband moved to Florida in 2007 and live in the Wesley Chapel area. Their daughter is their pride and joy. They spend their free time at Disney and enjoy all things Disney. She has two English labs, and a Maine Coon kitty to complete her household.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Dr. Colleen MacInnis, MD
Dr. Colleen MacInnis is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a highly trained MOHs Surgeon. Dr. MacInnis graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1998 and finished her Dermatology residency in 2002. She is an expert in treating disorders of the skin, hair and nails. Her expertise encompasses performing dermatological surgeries, specifically the highly skilled microscopic skin cancer surgery, MOHs.
During her training, Dr. MacInnis worked directly under the guidance of world renowned pathologist, Dr. Neil Crowson. As a MOHs surgeon, Dr. MacInnis is exceptionally trained in reading pathology. She began practicing as a Dermatologist in Oklahoma, eventually moving and settling in Central Florida in 2007. Known for her caring bedside manner and warm smiles, Dr. MacInnis has a quickly established a strong, positive reputation amongst the Central Florida community. As a MOHs surgeon, Dr. MacInnis has performed over 7,000 cases involving skin cancers of the face, ears and nose, as well as, extensively involved skin cancers of the body. Her exceptional knowledge and skill level has led her to perform some of the most complicated and involved skin cancer cases.
While practicing in Oklahoma, Dr. MacInnis was involved in several research programs including: The Testing of the Dermatoscope in the Evaluation and Diagnosis of Melanoma and Medical Treatment Agents for Psoriasis. She has also published research involving the Chemical and Medical Treatment of Melanoma and Basal Cell Carcinoma. In addition, Dr. MacInnis is an active participant in the training and education programs of Physician Assistants. Prior to practicing medicine, Dr. MacInnis was a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in Oklahoma, where she spent almost 10 years working as a veterinarian on large farm animals.
Dr. Colleen MacInnis focuses on high quality patient care and patient satisfaction as her primary goals. Dr. MacInnis is an American Board Dermatology Diplomat, a Fellow of the American Society of MOHs Surgeons and is licensed to practice medicine through the Florida Board of Medicine.
Grace Fantl, Certified Physician Assistant
Grace, a Nationally Board-Certified Physician Assistant who was born and raised here in lake county. She has worked at MacInnis Dermatology as a Medical Assistant and a Physician Assistant Shadow, prior to attending Physician Assistant School. In 2015, she received her Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida. Grace attended Nova Southeastern University, obtaining a Master in Medical Sciences. She came back to join the MacInnis Dermatology team, as a Physician Assistant in October 2018. Grace is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA), Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (FSDPA).
Grace specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the skin, hair, and nails. She works closely with Dr. MacInnis to ensure her patients receive the most excellent care. Working in conjunction with Dr. MacInnis, Sarah, and Tonya, she performs excisions on malignant and non-malignant lesions and assist in MOHS surgery. Grace strives to provide the highest quality patient care with an emphasis on thorough patient education, attentiveness to the needs and concerns of each patient, and establishing a patient-provider relationship built on kindness and trust.
Grace enjoys reading and writing fantasy short stories and novels in her spare time. She and her husband love exploring the outdoors of the Central Florida region and spending time with family and friends. Grace makes it her goal to bring lightheartedness and humor with her along with empathy and compassion.
Carolina Oxley has been a practicing aesthetician for over eleven years. Her specialty is medical aesthetics, but she covers all aspect of aesthetics. Carolina specializes in micro-needling, medical grade chemical peels, corrective facials for all skin types and anti-aging laser treatments for face and body. Her special love is gaining the trust of her patients and building long term relationships with her patients. "There is nothing more rewarding than working with a patient as a team and helping them reach their skin care goals. Patient satisfaction is her ultimate goal!"
Not only is she an aesthetic instructor but has trained and certified in electology,
laser technology, hydrafacial, coolsculpting, sculpscure, IPL(PhotoFacial), laser hair removal, micro-needling with or without PRP, body contouring with radio frequency, microneedling with radio frequency, advanced chemical peels, microblading and vein correction. WOW
Carolina was born in Colombia and moved to the United States when she was 12 years old and did her aesthetic training in Tennessee. She is married and has two cats and a dog but my dream is to one day open an animal sanctuary and save as many animals as possible!
Sarah Yoho, PA-C
Sarah is a Nationally Board Certified Physician Assistant and has been with MacInnis Dermatology since August 2012. She was born and raised in Florida, growing up on the East coast near Cocoa Beach. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida and her Master’s degree from the Physician Assistant program at South University in Tampa.
Sarah specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nail disorders. Working closely with Dr. MacInnis she provides the highest quality skin cancer care. She is experienced in dermatologic surgery with an emphasis on excisions and also works in conjunction with Dr. MacInnis assisting with all aspects of MOHs surgery.
Dedicated to providing outstanding, comprehensive Dermatological care, Sarah treats every patient with kindness and compassion. Her philosophy is to provide high quality patient centered care while creating a warm environment with a smile. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys dabbling in the arts including taking film, theatre, and improv classes. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and husband. She enjoys good humor and believes one should laugh as often as possible.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Florida Association of Physician Assistants, Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Beverly Connolly, PA-C
Beverly is a Nationally Board Certified Physician Assistant and joined MacInnis Dermatology in 2015. She originates from Huntington Valley, PA and has a diverse background having lived in Alaska, the Midwest, the Northeast and now settling in the Southeast. Beverly began her career as a Physical Education Teacher, Coach and Athletic Director after she earned her BS in PE and MS in Perceptual Motor Development where she remained for 22 years. In 1999, Beverly graduated with a BS in Physician Assistant Studies from Hahnemann University.
Beverly has over sixteen years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Dermatology, with extensive training in treating rashes, itching, psoriasis, warts, acne and a multitude of other general dermatology issues. With compassion, Beverly is predominately concerned with the needs of the patient, treating them with the same care as she would her own family members. Her focus is using a patient centered approach, treating the patient as a whole through integrative medicine and thoroughly educating patients.
In Beverly's downtime, she enjoys spending time with her son, playing scrabble, dancing, jig-saw puzzles, sports and outdoor adventures off the beaten path. When she is not playing piano, guitar, flute or French horn, she dreams of hiking the Appalachian Trail. Her personality is down-to-earth with a sense of humor and finding joy in every day. Her motto is, "Life is a song to sing" and believes laughter is the best medicine.
Beverly holds a National Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and a Florida state license. She is a member of Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (FSDPA), Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) and is a SDPA Diplomat.
Dr. Kay Johnston, MD
Dr Kay joined MacInnis Dermatology in 2017. She relocated from San Angelo, Texas, where she practiced for 18 years after completing her military obligation in 1999. During her time in Texas, she frequently gave dermatologic seminars to the community, served as Chief of Staff for the local Medical Center and served as the President of the County Medical Society.
Dr Kay received her medical education from the University of Nebraska Medical College and then completed her residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio. Her approach to patient care is understanding and supportive, which is driven both by her competency and personality. With a caring attitude, Dr Johnston works as a team with the staff to ensure responsiveness to the patient’s needs, keeping them informed about their health issues. Dr Kay is Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties. In addition to general dermatology, Dr Kay has special training in surgical and cosmetic dermatology, specifically MOHS surgery. She is a fellow of the following professional societies: American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society for Mohs Surgery (ASMS), and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS).
Dr Kay has one daughter, who is her pride and joy! In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, cycling, and traveling. Dr Kay looks forward to providing the highest quality in general, cosmetic and surgical dermatologic care to the wonderful men, women and children in the surrounding areas.
Dr. Shana Schroeder, DO
Joining MacInnis Dermatology in July will be Dr. Shana Schroeder. Dr. Schroederwas born and raised in Maryland. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Loyola College in Baltimore where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with minors in chemistry and economics. She then went on to earn a Masters in Medical Science from Drexel University in Philadelphia. In 2006 she moved to Florida and obtained her doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After finishing medical school in 2010, Dr. Schroeder completed residencies in both Internal Medicine and in Dermatology through the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education in West Palm Beach. She served as Chief Resident during each of these residencies. She continued to practice in South Florida until joining the practice in 2020. Dr. Schroeder is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, as well as, a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Schroeder enjoys practicing general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She sees patients of all ages and treats a diverse spectrum of skin diseases including skin cancer, psoriasis, rosacea, hyperhidrosis, eczema, and acne. Dr. Schroeder makes it her priority to go the extra mile in the care of her patients. She strives to listen and understand the needs of each patient, educate them on disease processes and procedures, and then come up with a treatment plan together.
In 2010 Nichole joined MacInnis Dermatology, working in the clinical department as a Medical Assistant. She quickly advanced to the Clinical Supervisor, then progressed to the role as practice manager in 2013. Nichole has approximately 6 years of clinical experience working with Dr MacInnis and various dermatologists, MOHs, and plastic surgeons. Her experience includes general and procedural dermatology, including medical coding.
In 2007 she graduated from the University of Miami with a BS in Biology minoring in chemistry. After graduation, she began working with Dr MacInnis and found great satisfaction working with patients. Through her experience working as a medical assistant and progressing into a leadership role, she found her true passion. Expanding her knowledge base, she obtained her MS in Executive Health Administration from the University of Central Florida. Currently, she is a member of American College of Healthcare Executive (ACHE), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Florida Chapter, and Association of Dermatology Administrators and Managers (ADAM). As an active member in ADAM, she serves on the education committee and helps the board.
Nichole is dedicated to leading a team of highly skilled, confident, proficient and caring individuals to deliver the highest quality patient care. She is a compassionate individual, committed to making a difference by creating a focused, positive, efficient and sympathetic work environment. She is excited to use her new education to enhance MacInnis Dermatology and the team. Through this, she feels empowered achieving her passion to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
When Nichole has free time, she enjoys traveling to new destinations enjoying the sights, art, history, activities and culinary diversity. Additionally, she enjoys playing with her Chihuahua Rio, spending time with her fiance, friends, and family. Health and fitness plays a large role in her life keeping her fit and grounded.
